Due to the recent rise in Coronavirus COVID-19 cases across the country and Montreal area, we want to assure you we are putting the safety of our customers and team members first. We’re following all best practices and guidelines for sanitation, cleanliness, and precaution as we continue to help our customers move forward.
1. What are the last updates regarding Montreal Moving During COVID 19, is Déménagement Total still operating?
Yes, we are still in business. This is a fluid situation that can change daily, so to confirm that a specific location you have booked with is still working, you can contact us directly by phone or email.
Even if the pandemic apparently is not so active currently, we still preserve lots of sanitary measures and we can provide vaccinated movers holding their vaccination passeports upon your request.
2. What is Déménagement Total doing to stop the spread of COVID-19?
Déménagement Total is closely following guidelines put in place by the federal and local governments, as well as provincial health agencies. We are also taking extra safety measures, including regularly sanitizing trucks and equipment, using hand sanitizer throughout the move, and practicing social distancing with our teams and customers. An example of social distancing is staging dispatch to avoid overlap of move teams within the office as much as possible. We also request no more than 2 customers are in the home while we move you.
In addition, we want to mention that all our movers are fully vaccinated and all have a vaccination passport.
3. I have an upcoming move scheduled with Déménagement Total. Is this move still happening?
Unless Déménagement Total has called to cancel or postpone your move, it’s still business as usual for all of our customers who are booked. If you have any questions or concerns about your scheduled move, please reach out to your local franchise to address these concerns.
4. What if I need to cancel my move due to COVID-19 in my community?
You will need contact us directly in the event that your scheduled move needs to be cancelled or moved to a different date.
5. Does someone have to come into my home to provide a moving quote?
No. Déménagement Total is now offering an online quotation form instead of at-home surveys to provide you with a price estimate for your move.
6. How to prepare for your planned moving?
We talk often about how important it is to have a plan for your move, and that goes double for a move during the Covid 19. You have to remain one step ahead to ensure that you have the right supplies (since you can’t be running back and forth to the store), and to ensure that you leave yourself enough time to pack and get ready for your movers.
To prepare for a move amidst COVID-19, be sure to keep the following steps in mind:
- Contact your movers
- Buy all of your supplies in one go
- Clean as you pack
- Finish packing at least 24 hours before the movers arrive
7. Is Déménagement Total still hiring at this time?
Yes! As we continue to move customers forward, we do continue to hire team members for various positions, especially movers and drivers. If you’ve been displaced from a position due to Coronavirus and its impact on business, we’d love to have you on our team.
If you have any other questions regarding scheduling a move, a move you already have scheduled, or information surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and our business, we encourage you to contact us directly to discuss these issues.
